Transnet: Young Professional-in-Training 2025

Position Purpose

Suitable, unemployed South African graduates between the ages of 18 and 35 are invited to apply for a two-year graduate development program offered by Transnet Rail Infrastructure (TRIM). The program will cover a variety of functional areas and provide both institutionalized knowledge and on-the-job training to help you gain a solid work experience that will increase your employability prospects. For twenty-four months, the program is structured and coached, and candidates’ development is evaluated every six months to make sure the program fulfills TRIM’s and the candidate’s expectations.
This exciting opportunity is aimed at unemployed graduates from the Department of Higher Education & Training registered institutions i.e., Universities, Universities of Technology, with a Bachelors’ degree / BTech qualification with a minimum NQF Level 6 and or above, with no prior work experience in their respective field of study.

Position Outputs

A two-year graduate development programme will be followed.

The Minimum Qualifications and Experience

B Degree Social Work Experience: No prior work experience is required. However, applicants will undergo a recruitment process, and successful candidates will be placed in various Depots, Departments within TRIM. Citizenship: Must be a South African citizen.
