Online Applications: 00:00 midnight

How to Apply Correctly

To ensure your application is considered, please follow these steps carefully:

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

Only the following must be submitted:
  • A new Z83 application form, fully completed, initialled, and signed.
  • A comprehensive CV (in PDF format) that includes detailed employment history.
Note: All online applications must be submitted as one PDF attachment (Z83 + CV combined).
JPEG images, snapshots, or photos of documents will not be accepted and will disqualify your application.

Step 2: Use the Correct Form and Format

  • Ensure you use the new Z83 form, obtainable from any Public Service Department or download it directly at www.gov.za/documents.
  • Applications using the old Z83 form will not be accepted.
  • Each post must have its own Z83 form — no combined applications for multiple posts.

Step 3: Fill in Every Section Properly

  • Complete Sections A, B, C, and D of the Z83 in full.
  • In Sections E, F, and G, you may write “refer to CV” — but make sure you still answer the question about reappointment conditions in Part F and sign the declaration.
  • Applications missing initials, signatures, or required information will be disqualified.

What Happens After You Apply

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you don’t receive feedback within eight (8) weeks of the closing date, please accept that your application was unsuccessful.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to:
  • Submit certified copies of qualifications and other relevant documents before the interview.
  • Undergo a pre-entry practical exercise to assess technical and general suitability.
  • Complete personnel suitability checks, including:
    • Criminal record verification
    • Citizenship validation
    • Credit record checks
    • Qualification and employment verification

Application Email and Reference Details

When submitting your email application, make sure to:
  • Include the correct job title and reference number in the email subject line.
  • Send it to the correct email address associated with that specific post.
  • Combine your Z83 and CV into a single PDF attachment.
Failure to do so may result in your application being automatically disqualified.

Important Legal Notes

By submitting your application, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Your information will be used solely for recruitment purposes and will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.
The Department reserves the right not to make an appointment to any advertised post. The successful candidate will be required to enter into an employment contract and performance agreement as per departmental policies.
